FRAMINGHAM – Motorists found a new traffic pattern for the three-way intersection of Salem End Road, Badger Road, and Gates Street in Framingham yesterday, November 12.
DPW crews were able to stripe the road yesterday, and create the new stop sign at the intersection.
Motorists traveling from Winter Street can still go straight on to Gates Street, from Salem End Road.
But motorists coming from the Country Club area, must now take a right, stop at the stop sign, and then take a left if they wish to go onto Salem End Road east or west. That is because the section of Gates Road is now a one way at the intersection.
Since January, there have been five crashes at the Salem End and Badger roads intersection, according to Framingham Police.
The new traffic pattern was created to make the intersection safer, said Framingham Highway Director Danny Nau.
