UPDATED: 5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Tuesday, November 13

1 Framingham Public Library is hosting a 60-minute talk on online shopping tips and tricks at the main Framingham Library in downtown Framingham tonight from 7 to 8 in the Costin room. The free event will provide attendees with “tips for evaluating products and services, saving money, and avoiding scams during the upcoming holiday season and beyond.”

 

2.  City of Framingham meetings:

  • Framingham School Committee is meeting tonight at 7 in Fuller Middle School
  • Framingham City Council is meeting tonight at 7 in the Blumer room of the Memorial Building
  • Framingham Zoning Board of Appeals is meeting tonight in the Ablondi room in the Memorial Building at 7.
  • Team Framingham Committee is meeting tonight in the Memorial Building at 7. The deadline for runners and charities to submit lottery applications has passed.

The Memorial Building is open late today – until 7 p.m. – as part of a pilot program by the Mayor to make government services more available to the public.

 

3.According to Mayor’s public calendar  on the City of Framingham’s website, Mayor Yvonne Spicer is attending a 2-day Center for Inclusive and Compassionate Cities meeting in Alabama. She was scheduled to appear today and tomorrow.

 

4. Massbay Community College’s men’s basketball team hosts Holyoke Community College at 7 at their Flagg Drive Framingham campus.

 

5.  Open Spirit is holding a Buddhist meditation tonight at 7.
