Framingham Freshman Finishes 35th in Division 1 Championship Meet

WRENTHAM – Framingham freshman cross-country runner Abigail DeVeau finished 35th out of 146 runners in the MIAA Division 1 State Championship meet in Wretham today, November 10.

Brookline sophomore Vivian McMahon won the 5,000-meter race in 18:48.9 minutes.

Cambridge Rindge & Latin senior Caroline Williams was second in 10:06.8 minutes, with Boston Latin junior Annie Jackson third in 19:29 minutes.

DeVeau’s time was 20:43 minutes.

Lexington won the Division 1 girls title with 63 points.

Boston Latin was second with 93 points.

Bay State Conference’s Needham was third with 99 points and the Warriors of Brookline High were fourth with 102 points.

Framingham High finished 19th out of 21 teams. The Flyers had 473 points.

The second fastest Flyer was senior Madelyn Klein, who finished 77th overall. Her time was 21:40.5 minutes.

Junior Tess Robinson was the three fastest Framingham runner. She finished 120th in 23:06.2 minutes.

Junior Paige Fisher finished in 123rd place at 23:13.6 minutes.

Freshman Emma Rothwell crossed the line in 129th place at 23:31.1 minutes.

Kirsten Harrod, a Framingham junior, finished in 135th place at 23:52.1 minutes.

Framingham sophomore Mariana Kelley also competed at the meet. Her time was 24:27 minutes.
