FRAMINGHAM – Grace Connolly easily won the MIAA Division 2 Cross-Country meet in Wrentham today, November 10.
Her time was more than a minute faster than the second-place finisher from Wellesley High. Connolly crossed the finish line in 17:04.01 minutes.
Natick had two runners in the top three spots, and four runners in the top 25, to win the team title with 72 points.
Billerica finished second with 75 points.
Twenty-one teams competed in the Division 2 championships.
Sophomore Katherine Connolly finished third overall in 18:27.6 minutes for Natick.
Maggie Donahue of Wellesley finished second overall in 18:15.1 minutes.
Red Hawk Mary Dougherty, a sophomore, finished 16th overall at 19:37.8 minutes.
Sophomore Courtney Dalke finished 23rd overall at 19:57.4 minutes for natick, with Billerica’s Deidra Anderson 24th overall in 19:58.2 minutes.
Natick’s Nicole Frail finished 31st overall in 20:11 minutes.
Red Hawk Paige Edwards, a senior, finished 35th overall in 20:18.9 minutes.
Junior Caroline Fleming finished 52nd overall in 20:44.9 minutes.
Next up for the Red Hawks is the MIAA All-state championship on Saturday, November 17, followed by the Northeast Championship on November 24.
