Framingham Flyers Win Dance Invitational


BEVERLY – The Framingham Flyers dance team finished first in the hip-hop division at the Endicott Dance Invitational in Beverly today, November 4.

The Flyers placed first out of four teams, said head coach Angela Rodriguez.

Framingham High won the sportsmanship award today at Endicott College.

““While I’m excited about winning our division, I’m even happier about our Sportsmanship Award. The team this season has truly epitomized the concept of sportsmanship in their genuine excitement and support and of each other and other teams at competitions and events. I’m incredibly proud to have this group of dancers represent Framingham High School Athletics,” said Rodriguez to Source.

Captains of the award-winning squad are Ivy-Jolie Camacho, Jonalys Peña, and Alex Cahn.

The other dances on the team are: Izzy Testiler, Jessie Faulk, Gabby Branco, João Coelho, Gabriella Bortolotti, Isabela Solha-Cruz, Louisa Idzal, Liz McElwain, Bopha Peng, Ritika Mittal, Maggy McEnaney, Courtney Glazer.

The team’s choreographer is Jackie Mackanich.
Next up for the team is the state competition on November 17 at Hudson High School.  The Flyers won the state title in the hip-hop division last year and in 2016.
