UPDATED: Flyers Shut Out Warriors For 4th Win of Season

MEDFIELD – Mother Nature forced last night’s home game to be moved to Medfield High, but the lack of a home field didn’t deter Framingham High.

The Flyers football team shut out the Warriors of Medfield High 10-0, on their way to their fourth win of the season.

The Flyers are now 4-5, under head coach Ed Mantie.

UPDATE: The next game will now be on Thursday, November 8 at  7 p.m. at Bowditch Field.

Flyers will host Weymouth High. Senior football players and cheerleaders will be honored before the game at 6:30 p.m.

The final football game for Framingham will be against Natick High at historic Fenway Park.

The 113th annual meeting of the two teams will be played on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m.  Tickets for the game go on sale at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 6. Suites are available now.

Framingham scored on the opening drive and took an 8-0 lead.

They kept that lead at halftime, and at the end of the third quarter.

With 3 minutes left on the game, senior Jon Lanzo intercepted for the Flyers on the 10-yard line.

Matt Giovine also had an interception for the Flyers in the game.
