FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham held its annual fall hazardous waste collection day this morning, October 27.
There were 270 vehicles that dropped off hazardous waste at the Framingham Department of Public Works site at 100 Western Avenue, said DPW spokesperson Sean Duggan.
Employees from Clean Harbors collected the hazardous materials directly from the Framingham residents’ vehicles as they drove through the DPW garage on the cold and rainy morning. There was a steady stream of vehicles around 10:30 a.m.
Items dropped off included old paint cans and old lawn fertilizers, etc.
In addition, there were 68 dehumidifiers dropped off, said Duggan.
