FRAMINGHAM – A ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the Sudbury River Trail yesterday afternoon, October 24.
Mayor Yvonne Spicer cut the river to open the trail for the public.
“I am very excited to announce the kickoff of the newest Sudbury River Trail and open space land protection project in Framingham Centre,” Tweeted the Mayor.
The ribbon cutting ceremony was held at 3 p.m. at 936 Central Street.
The project was made possible through the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection Natural Resource Damages Assessment & Restoration Program (Nyanza), contributions of the Johnson family, and multiple City of Framingham departments, including the Conservation Commission and the Conservation agent Rob MacArthur.
