Eugene J Oliva, 90, Retired Framingham Building Superintenent

FRAMINGHAM – Eugene J. Oliva, 90, a lifelong resident of Framingham, died Monday, October 22, 2018.

Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Gino and Emily (Boucini) Oliva.

He was the husband of Ann Marie (Alberta) Oliva.

Prior to retirement, he was a Superintendent for the Framingham Building  Department and worked for over 30 years with the Town of Framingham. He formerly worked with his father, building homes in the local area.

He was a member of the Christopher Columbus Society in Framingham.

Besides his wife, Gene is survived by two daughters, Gina Fitzpatrick and her husband Thomas of Framingham and Leslie McGrath of Carver. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  He was the father-in-law of the late Sean McGrath.

Relatives and friends are invited a time of visitation on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street in Framingham.

Burial will follow in St. Tarcisius Cemetery in Framingham.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452 or to Framingham Heart Study, 73 Mount Wayte Ave., #2, Framingham, MA 01702.
