FRAMINGHAM – Last night, the Framingham Traffic Commission delayed a vote on setting rates for parking meters downtown.
The proposal was to raise rates from $1 per hour to $1.25 per hour.
The vote means, that parking meters in the central business district will not be installed until at least 2019.
Meters were removed from downtown in 2014.
Recently, Downtown Framingham Inc. did a survey of business owners and just over 50 percent favored the meters being installed.
