Framingham Police and Fire Participating in 7th Annual Hero’s Haul Fire Truck Pull on Saturday

FRAMINGHAM – This Saturday, members of the Framingham Police Department and members of the Framingham Fire Department will spend the morning trying to pull a fire truck.

The 7th Annual Hero’s Haul is a fundraiser for Special Olympics Massachusetts, organized by the Law Enforcement Torch Run program umbrella.

The goal is to have your team pull a fire truck 20 feet in the fastest time.

Framingham Police Officer Val Krishtal has organized the Framingham Police team in memory of his daughter Kailyn, who died a couple of year ago at the age of 9.

But this year, Officer Krishtal is not competing, as he is battling cancer. The boys and girls made a shirt for the Framingham Police Officer that says “pulling for Val.”

You can still donate to the Framingham Police team. Their goal is to raise $3,000. Click here to donate.

The pull is Saturday, October 13, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, followed by a post-party featuring a DJ, food, and activities.

The the Law Enforcement Torch Run program is an international fundraising and awareness building program that had more than 1,000 members of Massachusetts Law Enforcement raise more than $500,000 in 2015. Internationally, more than 85,000 officers raised $50 million for their local Special Olympics chapter.
