FRAMINGHAM – The Massachusetts Municipal Association will host a legislative meeting on Friday. October 12 at the Christa McAuliffe Library in Framingham.
The meeting is for municipal officials and state legislators. The purpose is to “offer an informal opportunity to talk with area legislators, fellow municipal officials and Association staff about key legislative initiatives and important issues facing communities,” said the Association.
The meeting is from 8 to 10 a.m.
The formal legislative session has ended for 2017-18, but the Association is looking ahead to the start of the next session in January, said the Association.
Topics at the breakfast meetings will likely include state elections, economic development and housing, municipal recycling initiatives, and funding for the Chapter 90 local road program.
City and town officials from every community are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to talk about local successes and challenges and to give input on the MMA’s legislative priorities for the next two years.
Pre-registration is required.
