5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Wednesday, October 3

Framingham Police Chief Steven Trask will hold a meeting about downtown Framingham and crime tonight at the main Framingham Library.

The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.

 

2. The City of Framingham is partnering with a number of local institutions in Framingham Centre to submit an application to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to designate the Framingham Centre Common as a Cultural District. A meeting to discuss the proposal will be held tonight at 7 at Edgell Memorial Library at 3 Oak Street.

3. According to Mayor’s public calendar (pictured above) on the City of Framingham’s website, Mayor Yvonne Spicer has no public events.

However, the Mayor is expected to speak on the campus of Framingham State University today at 1:30 p.m., as part of World Teachers’ Day.

The Mayor may attend the downtown Framingham meeting at the library, hosted by Police Chief Steven Trask. The Mayor may also attend the Cultural District proposal meeting at the Framingham History Center, or she may attend the Framingham School Committee meeting tonight.

The Mayor did not attend last night’s City Council meeting.

  • Framingham Conservation Commission has a meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Ablondi room in the Memorial Building.
  • Framingham School Committee is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. in the Blumer room in the Memorial Building
