FRAMINGHAM – Framingham State University Director of Athletics Tom Kelley announced the hiring of Framingham State alum Mike Bailey as the Rams new head ice hockey coach this week.
“We are pleased to have Mike on the bench to lead the ice hockey program,” said Kelley. “Mike brings a wealth of knowledge and as a former Ram and assistant coach, he is familiar with the University, the ice hockey program, and the MASCAC.”
Bailey has spent the past two season as an assistant with the Rams ice hockey program assisting with all aspects of the program including game planning and recruiting.
Prior to joining the Rams coaching staff, Bailey spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Bellingham High School.
Bailey attended Framingham State University and was a 4-year member of the ice hockey team.
Bailey was a 2-time captain and during his four seasons, the Rams never experienced a losing season.
He graduated in 1996 with a degree in sociology and a minor in psychology
