City of Framingham Flushing Water System in October and November

FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham’s water department will conduct its annual Water Main Flushing Program in sections of the City from Monday, October 1, through Friday, November 30.

Water main flushing will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 pm.. in residential areas and 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. in business areas.

Theprogram is an important piece of the Department’s maintenance plan to ensure high quality drinking water is available to residents and businesses in the City.

The areas to be flushed are bounded by Waverly Street, the Natick town line, Franklin Street, Dudley Road, and Worcester Road.

The flushing process may cause discolored water and/or a reduction in pressure.

The discoloration of the water will be temporary and is not harmful.
If the condition persists, please contact the Framingham Water Department at 508-532-6030.
