Framingham League of Women Voters Holding Voter Registration Drives on September 25

FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham League of Women Voters is holding a community-wide voter registration drive in recognition of National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, September 25.

“With the important elections this upcoming November, it is important to remind people that democracy is not a spectator sport. The Framingham League of Women Voters’ mission is to encourage an informed and active electorate,” said Stephanie Deeley, President of Framingham chapter. “We are proud to partner with our local small businesses, non-profits, schools, libraries and the Sudbury LWV chapter, in registering people to vote.”

The Framingham League of Women Voters is holding voter registration events throughout our community at the following locations and times:

  • Framingham State University in the McCarthy Campus Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Framingham High School during the lunch periods from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • BRZ Insurance in Downtown Framingham at 107 Concord Street from noon to 2 p.m.

  • Framingham Main Public Library from 1 to 3 pm.

  • Christa McAuliffe Library from 1 to 3 p.m.

  • Brazilian-American Center (BRACE) at 560 Waverly Street from 2 to 4 p.m.

  • SMOC at 7 Bishop Street from 11 a.m to 1 p.m.


Individuals are eligible to register to vote in MA if they are:

  • A citizen of the United States

  • A resident of Massachusetts

  • A least 16 years old to pre-register. (To vote you must be 18 years old on or before Election Day.)


Re-established in 2017, the League of Women Voters of Framingham is a nonpartisan grassroots organization. We encourage the informed and active participation of citizens in government, work to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influence public policy through education and advocacy.

Founded in 2012, National Voter Registration Day is designed to create an annual moment when the entire nation focuses on registering Americans to exercise their most basic right – the right to vote. More than two million Americans have registered to vote on this day since the inaugural National Voter Registration Day
