Flyers Defeat Red Hawks in Home Opener 23-33

FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High boys cross-country team won its season and home opener at Farm Pond yesterday afternoon, September 20.

It was the first varsity win for new head coach Ed Crowley.

Flyers won 23-33.

The Flyers are now 1-0 on the season.

Framingham senior captain Ben Burgess won the 2.9 mile course in 16.24 minutes.

Natick senior Connor Giersch finished second in 17.39 minutes.

Framingham juniors Alexander Thurber and Matthew Hom finished third and fourth overall.

Freshman Nathaniel Dimidis finished seventh overall and fourth for the Flyers in 18.41 minutes.

Framingham senior Benjamin Silver finished 8th overall and fifth for the Flyers in 18.45 minutes.

Other varsity runners for the Flyers in the home opener were Samuel Moffat, Arnay Singh, Lucas Marshall, Shand Seiffert, and Bryce Casey.
