West Nile Virus Detected Again in Ashland; Spraying Scheduled For Monday

ASHLAND – The Ashland Board of Health received notice from the State and the Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Program that a pool of mosquitoes on Laurelton Drive recently tested positive for West Nile Virus.
The Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Program will be spraying the areas in close proximity to the detected areas on Monday, September 10, between the hours of 7:15 p.m. and midnight.
The area for spraying are the following roads and these residents are being forwarded a reverse call on the spraying. The area is as noted:

CHERYL LN
DENISE DR
EDGEWOOD DR
ESTHER LN
FRANKLAND RD
HARDING LN
HAVEN WAY
LAFOLLETTE ST
LAURELTON DR
MOREY DR
OLIVE ST
SPRING ST
STATE PARK RD
THURSTON LN
W UNION ST
WALKUP LN
WOODLAND RD
The following precautions for the residents of the above noted area includes staying inside during the spraying and this includes your pets. Also, please close your windows and shut down air conditioners that bring in outdoor air during the spraying time of 7;15 PM to midnight.
