Bayazit Taygan, 96, Retired Stone and Webster Employee

FRAMINGHAM – Bayazit Taygan, 96, of Falmouth died September 2 at McCarthy Care Center in East Sandwich.

Known as Bay, he was born in Istanbul.
A former Framingham resident, he graduated from the University of Michigan with a master’s degree in engineering and worked for Stone & Webster in Boston for more than 30 years.
Taygan leaves his son, Ferdi Taygan and his wife, Kay Taygen, of San Juan Capistrano, California; his two granddaughters, Nuray Bent of Falmouth and Shenal Taygan of Burlington, Vermont; and four great-grandsons, Bodhi Taygan Bent, Wyatt Stephen Bent, Taygan Ibarra and Rainer Ibarra.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emily (Smaykiewicz) Taygan; and his daughter, Selma Taygan.
There will be a private gathering for the family at a later date.
