5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Monday, August 27

1 Today is the first day of school for students at Keefe Technical High School in Framingham.

Tomorrow, Framingham High freshmen have an orientation.

Students in grades 1-12 in the Framingham Public School District will have their first day of school on Wednesday, August 29. It is also the first day of school for students at the Christa McAuliffe Charter School.

 

2. According to Mayor’s public calendar on the City of Framingham’s website, Mayor Yvonne Spicer will hold an office hour with City Councilors from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Memorial Building.

 

 

 

3.  CITY of FRAMINGHAM meetings:

  • Framingham Seal Committee is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. in the Memorial Building.
  • Framingham School Building Committee meeting at 7 at Fuller Middle School
  • Keefe Technical School Committee meeting at 7 p.m. at the school

 

 

4. There will be spraying for mosquitoes tonight in Framingham. Click here for a list of streets. Last week, the state notified the City of Framingham that five traps had mosquitoes with West Nile Virus.

 

5. Brophy Elementary School will hold a back-to-school night for families from 6 to 8 p.m.
