FRAMINGHAM – Gwendolyn B. (Lynch) Knapp, 92, of Framingham, died August 22, 2018 at Mary Ann Morse Nursing Home, Natick
Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Timothy J. and Agnes Bernice (Biladeau) Lynch.
Gwendolyn was the wife of over 57 years to the late Kenneth D. Knapp, Sr.
Mrs. Knapp was a Registered Nurse in the operating room at Framingham Union Hospital for over 32 years. While raising her children, Gwendolyn was a lunch aide for 25 years at St. Bridget’s School, Brownie and Girl Scout Leader.
She had a passion for quilting and making May baskets. In the day, she loved line dancing at her home and at St. Jeremiah’s Church.
Gwendolyn is survived by her children, Joseph, Thomas and wife Frances, Vincent, Edward, Walter, Mary Antalek and husband Mark, Prof. Jane Knapp and husband Daniel McGinley, Christine Aufiero and husband Peter, and Elizabeth; son in law, Julio Vega; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and one more on the way. She is also survived by her siblings, John and Martin Lynch and Rita Lynch Knapp and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Gwendolyn “Wendy” Vega and Kenneth D. Knapp, Jr. Also, the sister of the late Francis, Donald and Cornelius Lynch.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass on Wednesday August, 29, 2018 at 10 a.m. in St. George Church, 75 School St., Framingham. Burial will follow at St. Stephen Cemetery, Framingham.
Visiting hours at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street in Framingham will be Tuesday, August 28th, from 4 to 7 p.m.
