FRAMINGHAM – It was a gorgeous summer night at Bowditch Field on Thursday.
And the perfect night of the summer for the City of Framingham’s first outdoor movie night.
It was the 7th annual outdoor movie night hosted by Framingham Parks & Recreation at Bowditch Field.
Families began to arrive at 6 p.m., found spots for their blankets and chairs on the grass, and then the children played with the games.
There was free popcorn, and a lot of families brought pizza for dinner.
The movie was shown at dusk.
And for the third consecutive year, Framingham Source readers picked the movie.
Screened was Disney’s Coco. The movie was a Golden Globe winner for best animated feature.
According to Disney/Pixar’s Coco is a “vibrant tale of family, fun and adventure, aspiring young musician named Miguel embarks on an extraordinary journey to the magical land of his ancestors. There, the charming trickster Hector becomes an unexpected friend who helps Miguel uncover the mysteries behind his family’s stories and traditions.”
