FRAMINGHAM – If you live in precincts 1, 2, 4-7, 9-12, or 15, we have to choose someone to be our new voice at the State House due to the passing of Chris Walsh.
That voice I believe should be Maria Robinson. Here are some things I like about her:
1. She has spent the last 10 years working with over half the state governments in the country as well as state and federal agencies. For example, in Massachusetts she was instrumental in securing federal funding for the solar panels at Logan airport.
2. She has an engineering degree from MIT and a degree in energy law. I want a rep who solves problems – and I have found engineers to be natural problem solvers.
3. She has some young kids in the public school system. For me, it never hurts to have someone who has skin in the game when they are fighting to get every education dollar Framingham is due.
4. During an interview she gave, Maria said she would like to see 93 and 95 pay their fair share as opposed to the Pike. That has been one of those things that I have always felt Framingham and the MetroWest have unjustly been burdened with.
These are just a few things that I like and find interesting about her. I find her to be very sharp and genuine. I encourage you to check her out and see for yourself. Her website is https://www.votemariarobinson.com.
