Homeless Man Indicted on Charge of Failure To Register As Sexual Offender in Framingham

WOBURN – The Middlesex District Attorney’s office announced a grand jury has indicted a homeless man from Framingham on charges of failure to register as a sexual offender, subsequent offense.

Luis Velez, 40, who is listed as homeless but previously had a residence on Merchant Road in Framingham, was arrested by Framingham Police on January 8 at 4 p.m. at 31 Frederick Street. He was charged with failure to register as a sexual offender, subsequent offense.

 

Velez was convicted on indecent assault and battery on a person age 14 or older on October 3, 1997.

He was convicted on the same charge on May 4, 1999.

The Middlesex Assistant District Attorney prosecuting the case is Raquel Frisardi.
