FRAMINGHAM – Dunning Elementary School Principal Michele Schecter and Vice Principal Amy Mulkerin may have felt like they were at Camp Green Lake digging holes like the lead character Stanley Yelnats from Nobel Prize winner Louis Sacher’s children’s story Holes this morning, August 18.
But the leaders of the K-5 elementary school were digging holes to help kids make friends and have fun when school opens later this month.
Schecter and Mulkerin were digging holes for a buddy bench to be installed at the new K-2 elementary school playground at the Frost Street school in Framingham,
Dozens of volunteers worked hard on Friday and Saturday to construct the new K-2 and 3-5 playgrounds, which will be unveiled to students very soon.
SOURCE will have more slideshow of photos and a report on the playground on Monday.
