FRAMINGHAM – Mike Gatlin is running for state representative and his commitment to education is why I will write in his name on the primary ballot on September 4.
I have been a teacher in the Framingham Public Schools for over 20 years and have witnessed the many ways in which Mike has served our city to help the schools. Mike has three children who attended Framingham Public Schools and he and his wife Judy have had many roles in advocating for and supporting our schools. Mike was PTO President at Barbieri Elementary School, he has been a member of Framingham Public Schools Superintendent of Public Schools Committees, and has been a member of the Barbieri School Principal Search Committee.
In addition to being an involved parent and community leader Mike served on the Board of Directors for the Framingham Education Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides supplemental funding to teachers and staff with unique approaches to the curriculum.
Moving forward, Mike is committed to continue his work supporting education at every level by supporting preschool education for all young children in Framingham and by helping make college education possible for all high school graduates.
Over the last 20 years Mike has demonstrated the high level of commitment to education that, as a public school teacher, I look for in a candidate. That is why I will write in Mike Gatlin for State Representative on September 4.
