FRAMINGHAM – Julie A. Slocum, 46, a longtime resident of Framingham, passed away peacefully August 9, 2018 surrounded by her family and friends.
Julie is survived by her daughter: Stephanie Lauren Bitsoli and Stephanie’s father Stephen Bitsoli both of Framingham, her mother: Catherine Liliane Slocum of Marlborough, her brothers: Keith L. Slocum of Watertown and Mark J. Slocum of Webster; nieces: Tiffany Slocum and Olivia Slocum, nephews: Justin and Jason Slocum; a cousin: Frank Russo and good friends: Alison Roche and Paula Dragonetti.
Julie served the Commonwealth in the National Guard for 6 years and received an honorable discharge.
She was an 18-year employee of Philips Lifeline in Framingham and was most recently employed at Medtronics in Mansfield.
She loved spending time working and helping at Powisset Farm in Dover. She enjoyed travel to Iceland, Ireland and Israel and visiting historical sites. An avid reader, Julie loved historical fiction novels. Above all, she will be remembered as a loving mother, daughter and sister and will be missed by all who knew her.
Visiting hours are Thursday Aug. 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Boyle Bros. Funeral Home, 173 Union Avenue in Framingham.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday Aug. 17 at 10 a.m.. at St. George’s Church, 74 School Street in Framingham.
Urn burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland.
