UPDATED: Sisters Selling Lemonade To Help Families Stay Together

FRAMINGHAM – Two sisters have been selling lemonade at the Framingham Concerts on the Common to help reunite immigrant children separated from their parents, due a federal policy.

Kayla and Leilani Weiss have sold  more 200 cups of lemonade. They raised $134.75 last night, and have raised almost $275 in two weeks.

The Framingham sisters will be at the last Concert on the Common on Friday, August 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. selling regular and pink lemonade for 50 cents per cup.

The Welcoming Framingham organization allowed the sisters, who attend Barbieri Elementary, to hold the lemonade fundraiser.

Earlier this summer, Framingham held a rally to support immigrant families separated by the Trump administration policy.
