FRAMINGHAM – Daniel’s Table, a nonprofit in Framingham, trying to end food insecurity in the City of Framingham, will host a food mart on Saturday, August 11.
The Food Mart will be held at DT Kitchen at 10 Pearl Street from 10 a.m. to noon.
The event is for families in need of more food to keep their weekend meals nutritional.
All families are welcome to attend to receive groceries and produce.
There will be crafts for the kids.
The event is held the second Saturday of each month.
Daniel’s Table was founded in November 2011 by Alicia and David Blais.
The couple run a food truck, called Foodie Cafe, at the MWRTA lot behind the tracks on Tuesdays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Proceeds from the Food truck support Daniel’s Table.
The mission of Daniel’s Table is to”create a sense of food security starting in the city of Framingham and through cooperation with other cities and towns expand our mission to wherever it is needed.”
