FRAMINGHAM – Discovering Hidden Gems, a nonprofit organization, in collaboration with Pelham Recreation is hosting a back-to-school extravaganza on August 25 at Mary Dennison Park.
The event will feature field day games/activities, bubble soccer by New England Bubble Soccer, a mini health fair, food generously donated by Daniel’s Table, music by DJ Michael Mercado, a performance by LG (Lyrical Genius) face painting, temporary tattoos, and a back-to-school backpack and supply giveaway.
Discovering Hidden Gems is currently running a school supply drive.
Anyone interested in donating supplies can drop off at the following locations: State Representative candidate Mary Kate Fenney’s tent at the Concerts on the Common on Friday nights from 6 to 8 p.m., at all the fire houses in Framingham, at the Greater Framingham Community Church, and at the First United Methodist Church.
The August 25 event is sponsored by The Athleticos and Pirates Soft Ball teams, DJ Michael Mercado, Johana Aponte Febus, Getz Productions, Mutual One Bank. and ICNA relief USA. Supported by Pelham Recreation, Framingham District 9 City Councilor Edgardo Torres, Daniels Table, First United Methodist Church, Greater Framingham Community Church, and the Framingham Fire Department.
