Anyone can theorize concepts but Mike’s years of experience serving Framingham’s education and economic communities, make him the ideal candidate to be our State Representative.
I first met Mike 15 years ago, He was Barbieri’s new PTO President. Our children had just transferred to Barbieri from Brophy, when the two bi-lingual programs merged. His ability to build consensus in a diverse school community, solving issues with vision and progressive ideas that included everyone, contributed to a positive school experience for all Barbieri families and underscore his leadership abilities. (Chess club, annual spelling bee and intra-mural basketball, school ,for Barbieri parents, fundraising auction and fashion show, to name just a few.
As a lifelong resident, he knows this city, it’s history, challenges and potential, inside out. Mike works to turn everything to opportunity. He is known to be smart, hard working and dedicated to promoting new ideas that improve life for all Framingham residents. He has achieved a well earned list of qualifications in leadership:
From stepping up to be Barbieri’s PTO President, work on the Framingham Education Foundation, to 5 years of fundraising on the Library Foundation, resulting in our new McAuliffe Library.
Mike is well respected by all. He recently served on Mayor Spicer’s town to city transition team. Anyone who knows Mike knows that he always works to put the needs of Framingham first.
He currently chairs both the Framingham’s Economic Development Industrial Corporation, Framingham Downtown Inc.and serves on Framingham State University’s Foundation Board, raising funds that make it possible for more students to attend FSU.
Throughout his life, Mike has made Framingham’s vitality his priority. He will forge ahead on day 1, with a depth of knowledge born of experience, dedication and commitment to serve Framingham. These proven qualities make Mike our very best candidate for State representative.
