FRAMINGHAM – Daniel R. Flynn, 54, a longtime resident of Framingham, died Thursday, July 26, 2018 following a long illness.
Born in Providence, RI, the son of Sheila (Delaney) & the late Robert F. Flynn.
He was raised and educated in Framingham from the time his parents settled here in 1967.
After high school, he enlisted in the US Navy, and later returned to Framingham.
A great all around athlete, Daniel was a stand out in hockey and tennis, and was an accomplished fisherman.
He enjoyed his Harley Davidson motorcycles and loved to read, especially sci-fi novels.
Besides his mother Sheila, Daniel is survived by his daughters, Samantha and Kasey Flynn, his sisters, Ruth Flynn, and Alison Kerins and her husband Tom, his granddaughters, Madellene, Juliet, and Melanie, his nephew Charles and his niece Julia. Daniel was predeceased by his father Robert and his brother Gregory.
Family and friends will honor and remember Daniel’s life by celebrating his Funeral Mass in St. Bridget’s Church 830 Worcester Road, on Saturday morning, August 4 at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow in St. Stephen Cemetery in Framingham.
