FRAMINGHAM – First elected as clerk in 2000, Valerie Mulvey is retiring Friday, July 27.
Today, July 25, a reception was held at Nevins Hall in the Memorial Building, for the Framingham resident who was the last Town of Framingham Clerk and the first City of Framingham Clerk.
Framingham Highway Director Dan Nau presented her with a special gift – a city sign with the words “Valerie Mulvey Way.”
Massachusetts Secretary of State Bill Galvin spoke, as did Middlesex Sheriff Peter Koutoujian.
Long-time friend and District 5 City Councilor Dennis Giombetti also spoke, along with Framingham’s Chief Operating Officer Thatcher Kezer.
