Performing Arts Center of MetroWest Staging Legally Blonde Jr., the Musical Friday Night

The Performing Arts Center of MetroWest  will stage Legally Blonde Jr., the musical, featuring a cast of students in grades 2-8, from the MetroWest area on Friday, July 27.

The one-night only performance will take place at Amazing Things Arts Center at 160 Hollis Street in downtown Framingham. Showtime is at 6:30.

The comedy follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. When Elle’s high school boyfriend, Warner, dumps her and heads to Harvard, claiming she’s not “serious” enough, Elle takes matters into her own hands, crafting a showy song-and-dance personal essay and charming her way into law school. Befriending classmate, Emmett, and spunky hairdresser, Paulette, along the way, Elle finds that books and looks aren’t mutually exclusive. As Elle begins outsmarting her peers, she realizes that law may be her natural calling after all.

Directed by Eliomar Nascimento, this musical is appropriate for children and adults of all ages.

Free Parking is available at Amazing Things Arts Center.

Advance tickets  are Adults: $10; Seniors & Youth (65 and older and 18 and younger): $7.

Tickets will be $2 more at the door Friday night.
