NATICK – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has announced that the Marion Street Bridge, which carries traffic on Marion Street over the MBTA railroad tracks in Natick, will be closed to all vehicular traffic beginning on Monday, July 23, until early August 2018.
This bridge closure is necessary in in order to enable crews and contractors to carry out construction operations on sidewalks and intersections in the area of the bridge.
During this closure period, all vehicular traffic will be directed to follow the detour signage in place. Pedestrian access across the bridge will be maintained.
This closure is related to the ongoing construction project and will allow crews to accelerate the work schedule and minimize the overall impact on the traveling community.
Signs, traffic control devices, and message boards will be used to guide travelers through the work zone.
MassDOT encourages drivers to reduce speed and use caution, and allow for extra time throughout this area. All work is weather dependent and is subject to change without notice.
