FRAMINGHAM – Banner Hill Church hosted a free community, family festival at Farm Pond in Framingham Sunday evening.
The church meets Sunday at 6 p.m. at the McCarthy Center at Framingham State University, but yesterday they held a 2-hour family event from 5 to 7 p.m. with bouncy houses, face painting, free hotdogs & chips, summer games, like corn hole and hula hoops.
Pastor Bryan Shippey moved to Framingham in 2017 with his wife Jodi and their five children from Texas.
You may have seen the church volunteers with their red “ALL IN for Framingham” t-shirts around the city. They have volunteered at the Parks & Recreation annual egg hunt, MetroFest, and were in the Flag Day parade too.
But they also volunteer with several social service agencies in the city, including food pantries, shelters, and soup kitchens.
Braza Grill Union House owners donated $500 to the church to help with the food costs on Sunday.
