World Cup Preview: Brazil Vs Serbia Wednesday Afternoon

FRAMINGHAM – Wednesday, June 27, Brazil will play its final of three group soccer games in the 2018 World Cup.

There are 32 countries in the World Cup, and 16 teams will advance after the first group games are completed. The two two teams in eight groups of four advance.

Brazil (1-1) will play Serbia (0-2) at Otkrytie Arena in Russia tomorrow, June 27.

The game will be televised live at 2 p.m. Eastern time.

Win or draw and Brazil advances to the round of 16 teams in the 2018 World Cup.

Five-time world champions Brazil  are the favorites in this game, but they have struggled in these opening round games.

They tied 6th-ranked Switzerland 1-1, and they only defeated Costa Rica with goals in the 91st and 97th minutes in the last victory.

Players to watch on the Serbian team are: Aleksandar Kolarov, Branislav Ivanovic, Sergej Milinkovic, Aleksandar Mitrovic, and Nemanja Matic.

Brazilian players to watch are: Philippe Coutinho, Thiago Silva, and Neymar.

Alisson Becker, known by just his first name, is expected to be in goal for Brazil again. He is also a goalie for the Italian Club team Roma.

The City of Framingham has parking restriction in place in downtown on Wednesday from 2 to 5 p.m. on portions of Route 126.

Originally, the restrictions were 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., but were changed late today.
