FRAMINGHAM – Discovering Hidden Gems hosted its first Ride Into Summer event for youth at Farm Pond over the weekend.

The non-profit organization believes “every child deserves to shine,” and held a bicycle fundraiser on Saturday.

The family-friendly event featured not only a bike fundraiser, but kids activities, touch-a-truck, music, and food.

Everyone was in great spirits, despite the rain, and all who attended had a fun time.

Bicycle helmets were generously donated by the United Methodist Church on Water Street in Framingham.

The event was organized by Margie Ann Rosario and Julissa Ortiz, founders of Discovering Hidden Gems. Both grew up in Framingham, and want to find a way to help make the youth of Framingham shine.

Framingham Police auxiliary donated their time for the event.
