SLIDESHOW: Framingham Library Kicks-Off Summer Reading With Truck Day

FRAMINGHAM – On a drizzly Saturday morning, the Framingham Library kicked off its summer reading program for kids, with “truck day.”

Framingham Department of Public Works. Framingham Fire, and Framingham Police brought vehicles to the Hemenway Elementary School parking lot for little and big kids to explore.

Across the street, the library was registering kids for its annual summer reading program on Saturday, June 23.

The theme this year is “Libraries Rock!”

Framingham Public Schools close for the year tomorrow, June 25.

The library is hosting a variety of activities, programs, and movies all summer long.

Track your reading this summer by picking up a Libraries Rock! bag in the children’s room. Remember to color in your music notes after you read!

When you sign up you will also get a chance to enter our raffle and win fun and exciting prizes! Winners will be selected at the end of summer.

Make sure to pick up your Libraries Rock! tee shirt when you’ve hit 5 hours of reading!
