FRAMINGHAM – Sen. Karen Spilka is hosting a Town Hall meeting on the environmental and energy on Tuesday, June 26.
The event will be held First Parish in Framingham Church at 24 Vernon Street in Framingham from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The public is invited.
The event will feature Sen. Spilka and several environmental groups, who are co-sponsoring the event.
Sponsoring Organizations: Environmental League of Massachusetts, 350Mass, 350Mass MetroWest, Clean Water Action, First Parish Climate Action Team, League of Women Voters, Framingham, Massachusetts Climate Action Network, Sierra Club Massachusetts Chapter, and Transition Framingham
Discussion will focus on priority legislation and energy and environmental issues facing the Commonwealth. Sen. Spilka will take questions and comments from the audience.
By hosting this event, the Environmental League of Massachusetts (ELM) and the other sponsoring organizations hope to grow the influence of the environmental community across the state.
The ELM Action Fund will also be launching a Green Pledge for elected officials and candidates later this summer, as well as creating a Green Voters Guide to help environmental voters make the most educated choices possible.
The church is wheelchair accessible.
Sen. Spilka, is a Democrat from Ashland, who represents Ashland, Framingham, and Natick.
