Celebration of Puerto Rico on July 7 at Framingham Library

FRAMINGHAM –  The City has a large Puerto Rican population, many who rallied to help those after the back-to-back devastating hurricanes last year.

And on July 7, several organizations are coming together to host a Celebration of Puerto Rico at the main Framingham Library on Saturday, July 7.

The free event will be from noon to 5 p.m., and is sponsored by Conexion LatinoAmerica, Discovering Hidden Gems, Welcoming Framingham, District 9 City Councilor Edgardo Torres, Raise Your Hands Puerto Rico, and the Framingham Public Library.

Stop by to learn about the history and culture of Puerto Rico. School-aged children will be displaying posters on the history and culture of Puerto Rico.

Watch a Plena dance demonstration at 2 p.m. Lessons will take place after the demonstration.
