5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Monday, June 18

1 The National Weather Service has issued a “heat advisory” for MetroWest, including Framingham. The temperature will feel like 100 degrees today.


2. Today is the final day of classes at Framingham High. Students will begin final exams on Tuesday.

Due to snow days, the last day of school for Framingham Public School students is Monday, June 25.



3. CITY of FRAMINGHAM meetings:

  • Framingham School Committee’s Digital Infrastructure Subcommittee is scheduled to meet today at 4:30 p.m. at Fuller Middle School.
  • Framingham Bilingual Parent Advisory Council tonight at 6 at Framingham Public Library, 49 Lexington Street.

  • Framingham School Building Committee scheduled to meet tonight at 7 at Fuller Middle
  • Framingham Planning Board is scheduled to meet tonight at 7 in the Blumer room in the Memorial Building.
  • Keefe Technical School Committee has a meeting tonight at 7
  • Framingham License Commission is scheduled to meet tonight at 7 in the Ablondi room.


4. Framingham Salvation Army is hosting a party tonight at 6 to thank Majors Walter and Lynnann Rivers for their seven years of service in Framingham.  The event will take place at the Salvation Army’s new location at 59 Howard Street.


5.  According to Mayor’s public calendar on the City of Framingham’s website, Mayor Yvonne Spicer has no public events today.
