PHOTOS: Potter Road Elementary’s First Fun Run Raises More than $15,000

FRAMINGHAM – Potter Road Elementary students┬ástudents participated in their first Fun Run, a fundraising event to help raise money for the school’s PTO, last week on June 6.

For two weeks prior to the event students asked friends and family members for pledges with a goal of each student getting at least one pledge each.

Classes were rewarded for their participation with a daily crowning of a school King or Queen, dance parties, pajama parties, and more.

The event raised over $15,000 for the school but, more importantly, provided an amazing community builder for the school.

The event included 2 races — one for grades K through 2 and another for grades 3 through 5.
At the end of the day, the students had the pleasure of pieing their principal and dumping ice water on their teachers for reaching their school goal of raising more than $10,000.
