FRAMINGHAM – Mike Gatlin, local attorney and lifetime resident of Framingham announced his run for State Representative with a platform that promotes new
opportunities in Framingham, facilitates progress in helping the district maximize its potential, improves environmental friendliness throughout the community, enables achivement in education at every level and inspires community development from Irving Street to Nobscot.
“Everything I have ever done has been about trying to improve people’s lives.Framingham is in my blood. With the head of our legislative delegation about to become Senate President, the rebirth of downtown Framingham, and our new city government, elected officials and other community partners, I feel strongly that Framingham enjoys a wealth of opportunities, and we need to work together before those opportunities pass,” said Gatlin, in his announcement.
Mike is committed to running a robust campaign and has already had conversations with voters through his door-to-door approach and speaking with constituents.
“We have seen so much progress all over our community of which we are proud: revitalizing the downtown area, becoming leaders in higher education and improving quality of life for our residents, but there is so much untapped potential and more work to do, said Gatlin in his announcement.
Mike has been a practicing attorney in Framingham for 36 years, served on Mayor Spicer’s Transition team, and is the current Chair of the Framingham Economic
Development Corporation and Framingham Downtown, Inc.
He founded the Metro-West AID Consortium and has served as Special Town Counsel (for the Town of Framingham), on the By-Law Review Team for the City transition, Chaired the Barbieri School PTO as well as on the Board of Directors for Wayside Youth & Family Support Services.
He lives on Salem End Road with his wife Judy. Mike is the proud father of three Framingham Public School graduates.
