FRAMINGHAM – The 5th Annual MetroFest, sponsored by the MetroWest Visitors Bureau , is Saturday June 16, at Bowditch Athletic and Cultural Complex in Framingham.
MetroFest is the the premiere arts, music, and food truck festival in the MetroWest region.
Thanks to the generous sponsors (listed below*) and volunteers, MetroWest Visitors Bureau will once again grant free admission for the family-friendly event, which will offer food, arts, exhibitors, music, classic cars, craft beverage-tasting, an electric bike test track, and much more.
You’ll want to come hungry.
A wide variety of New England-based food trucks are coming to MetroFest, including Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shop, Melt, Teddy’s Lunchbox, Empanada Dada, Clyde’s Cupcakes, Big T’s Jerky House, and many more.
Throughout the day, you’ll enjoy live music and entertainment, with a little something for everyone. Enjoy the sounds of rock, rhythm & blues, Brazilian jazz and more with performances by the Eduardo Mercuri Group, The Reminisants, and The Tony Soul Project.
Magic 106.7 DJ David O’Leary will serve as emcee before turning over the mic to MyFm 101.3 DJ Ray Auger later in the afternoon.
MetroFest 2018 will have a wide variety of fun activities for everyone at every age to enjoy with more than 120 crafters and exhibitors.
Family-friendly activities include Touch-A-Truck (with humvees from the Massachusetts Army National Guard 106th Transportation Company), ball games with Fore Kicks, Live Action Escapes, a Kangoo Jump demonstration with WBIX, and much more.
MetroFest 2018 is excited to showcase a huge variety of offerings from throughout the MetroWest region: the Marlborough Curling Club, who will bring a 32-foot sheet of ice for everyone to try curling; bounce houses and obstacle courses in Kid’s Town; and a tasting tent featuring Start Line Brewing, La Cantina Winery, and Lookout Farm Hard Cider.
