FRAMINGHAM – Lucille M. (Dumont) Jakutis, 83, of Framingham, died Friday, June 1, 2018 in Shrewsbury Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born June 3, 1934 in Nashua, New Hampshire, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Artillia (LaCarre) Dumont.
She married Edmund B. Jakutis on August 21, 1954 and they were married 40 years until his death on July 17, 1995.
A resident of Framingham for over 60 years, she worked as a nurse’s aide at the Kathleen Daniels Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for more than 10 years before retiring.
She loved a good game of bingo, trips to Maine to either the pier at Old Orchard Beach or Wells, crochet, knitting and sewing, country music and time with family and friends. Lucille was an avid Red Sox fan, even watching reruns of old games.
In addition to her husband Edmund, she is predeceased by their son John Jakutis and her brothers, Ernest, Wilfred and Paul Dumont.
She leaves her children, Ann Marie Sannicandro and her husband, John of Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire, Carol D. Maguire and her husband, Dennis of Shrewsbury and Edward P. Jakutis of Framingham; her daughter-in-law, Marci Jakutis of Framingham; her grandchildren, James, Anthony (Nora), Paul and Peter Sannicandro, Michael and Jennifer Jakutis; her siblings, Gerald Dumont and his wife, Sue of Nashua, New Hampshire, Richard Dumont and his wife, Ellen of Barrington, Rhode Island and Edna Debuc of Nashua, New Hampshire; also survived by nieces & nephews.
Family & friends will honor and remember Lucille’s life by gathering for visiting hours in The McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln Street, Framingham, on Monday, June 4 from 4 to 8 p.m.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning in St. Bridget’s Church, 830 Worcester Road, at 9 a.m.
Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.
