FRAMINGHAM – When one thinks of the definition of the word “special,” the words extraordinary, exceptional and outstanding come to mind.
Suzanne Chlapowski exemplifies these qualities.
Suzanne has been a dedicated teacher at Charlotte Dunning for 18 years. She has an extremely kind and compassionate spirit, while maintaining high expectations in her classroom in all areas: academic, social, and emotional. She is a role model and mentor for young teachers and has hosted many field study students, student teachers, and Framingham Public School staff members.
She is a leader at her grade level, and in the building, providing encouragement, guidance and confidence to those around her.
Suzanne goes above and beyond of what is expected of a classroom teacher.
Each day she can be found in her classroom before, during lunch, and after school working with her students. Her priority is implementing strategies to meet the needs of all of her students. Her lessons reflect a variety of teaching techniques with meaningful and challenging learning experiences.
She is a fierce advocate for her students, and always has their best interest in mind.
She was instrumental in organizing and facilitating the Dunning School Running Club.
Outside of her profession, Suzanne’ has been a lead coordinator for the Neighborhood Brigade in the Ashland area, offering aid and assistance to families who are experiencing illness, a loss or a tragedy.
Currently, Suzanne’s is volunteering as a mentor with the MAZIE Foundation.
The Dunning Community is fortunate to have such a talented, dedicated and caring professional.
