FRAMINGHAM – The MetroWest YMCA is constructing a splash pad for its Clearbrook Family Swim Club on Parker Road in Framingham.
The Club and outdoor pool opens on June 16, and the goal is to have the new splash pad ready for opening weekend.
The MetroWest YMCA operates the Clearbrook Swim club through Labor Day weekend in Framingham.
The Club has a tennis court, showers, playground, ping pong tables, lawn games, lounge chairs and a snack bar. Lifeguards are on duty.
Family memberships are available for MetroWest Framingham Branch YMCA members and non-members.
For Framingham Y members, the cost for a full summer membership for two adults and children is $250 before June 1 and $300 after June 1. There are pro-rated shorter memberships available.
If you are not a Framingham Y member, you can become a summer member and use both the facility on Old Conn Path and the Clearbrook Summer Club for $500 per family, before June 1 or $550 per family after June 1.
The new splash pad is geared for children ages 3-12. It is designed for moms and dads to sit outside the circle and watch their children or for parents to join in the fun with their kids.
The sprinklers are being connected this week, and then the concrete will be poured. The City of Framingham Board of Health will need to inspect the splash pad, before it opens.
Framingham’s first splash pad is in the Musterfields, owned by the Framingham Housing Authority. This will be the City’s second splash pad.
