Raiders Steal 7-6 Win Over Framingham; Eliminate Flyers From Playoffs

FRAMINGHAM – Wellesley High’s baseball team came from behind to defeat the Framingham High baseball team, today, May 16.

A 3-run double by Matt Maiona gave the Raiders a 7-6 win over the Flyers.

Wellesley is now 11-4 on the season.

Framingham has lost five of its last six games and is now 4-10 on the season.

The Flyers are 2-7 in the Bay State Conference.

The loss officially eliminated Framingham from the MIAA playoffs.

Wellesley’s Grady Cook got the win and Justin Lindquist the save.

Framingham’s Jack Beverly had his first varsity start on the mound.

Jared Marifiote homered in the game for Framingham.
