FRAMINGHAM – The City Council’s finance subcommittee will hold a public hearing on Mayor Yvonne Spicer’s proposed $288 million budget for fiscal year 2019, which begins July, 1 on Thursday, May 17.
The 7 p.m. hearing will be held in the Blumer room in the Memorial Building.
The hearing is required per the new City’s charter, but it is an opportunity for residents to give the City Councilors their opinion on items in the Mayor’s budget.
The City Council’s finance subcommittee is chaired by Councilor George King (pictured).
The 11-member City Council is expected to vote on the budget request on Tuesday, June 5. Prior to that the finance subcommittee will make recommendations to the City Council on the budget.
